  • Hello,
I can give you the component library for it which includes a 3D model for PCB layout. However the STEP file is a board level.

THANKS BUT THIS DOESN'T HELP ME.  I NEED A STAND ALONE 3D STEP FILE.  DO YOU KNOW WHY TI DOESN'T HAVE STEP FILE FOR ALL OF THEIR PRODUCTS/

  • In reply to Paul SARNO:

    Hello,

The 3D STEP file is a board level file. I can generate STEP file from a PCB but when I place the PCB components on the board I use the .cmplib or .pcblib which both contain the 3D information of the device. I apologize if this does not meet your requirement.

Why can't I get a 3D STEP file model from TI?
  • In reply to Paul SARNO:

What PCB layout software are you using?
If you would like I can make a bare PCB with the component on it and generate that STEP file. However it won't help in your system because it will have PCB attached to it.

PADS Standard Plus. Thanks Cameron, I will live with just the standard BLOCK model. This is getting way to complicated. Thanks again. I'd like to end this thread.
