Part Number: DP83869HM
i am using DP83869HM transceiver
i am unable to configure Activity registers for different ports like for electrical port and optical port am using i want to configure them seperately.
Please refer me any other register other than this common register for activity status .
You would like to see if there is traffic on the port, link on the port or what the port is configured for?
Using register 0x18, you can configure the LED pins to display variations of activity (i.e. RX only, TX only, TX and RX).

Hi Ross ,
Thank you .
0x18 register is used to configure the LED activity but how i can get the status of the data transfer weather it is transferring or not .
To understand data transfer status i need a register .
Thanks and regards,
In reply to KAAVYA BANISETTY:
We do not have such a feature in the device.
However, you could try an unintended use of WoL to accomplish this.
In the WoL section you can set WoL to pattern match in register 0x134.
Enable a mask on the pattern so that all frames will be tagged as WoL frames.
Set registers 0x15C, 0x15D, 0x15E, 0x15F to the value 0xFFFF in each.
You can then set the WoL interrupt in register 0x12 to monitor frames coming through the PHY.
Thanks a lot for your suggestion.
i will implement this and check it out .
i need another help regarding the auto negotiation .
how can i enable auto negotiation through software implementation like what registers can i read/write to enable it without the interference of strap pins .
You can use register 0x0 / 0xC00 to advertise for auto-negotiation, register 0x4 / 0x9 / 0xC04 to control speed and duplex advertisement.

Thank you for your understanding.
