TUSB1210: ULPI bus is tri-stated

Genius 4200 points

Part Number: TUSB1210

Hi Support,

According to the datasheet "ULPI bus is tri-stated" when "RESETB" is low.

However, on our boards DIR and STP are driving high when "RESETB" is low.

Do you know why this is so?

Thanks.

  • Hello,

I will verify this with the device designer.

    Hi Jorge,

    Any update?

    Thanks.

    Hello Ikon,

My apologies for the delay on this. It took some time for the device designer to setup the required environment to perform some RTL simulations on the device, but we were finally able to confirm that DIR is indeed driven high, but STP is tristated and pulled (resistive) high. DIR is always driven and STP is never driven.

I hope this clarifies your observations.

    regards,
    Jorge

    Hi Jorge,

Perhaps TI's datasheet need to be updated.

    Cheers.

Thanks Ikon. I will make the suggestion.
