SN65DP159: VCC/VDD ramp power-up requirements

Part Number: SN65DP159

Is the unit for td1 (page 26) incorrect?  Should it be ms instead of us?  It seems like have 200us between power rails being stable does not correspond with having a 100ms ramp time on each power rail (VDD_ramp and VCC_ramp spec).

  • Hi Daniel,

The timing value in the datasheet is correct. As long as OE is held low while the power rails ramp and stabilize, the td1 timing condition can be ignored. The SN65DP159 uses internal pullup resistors that are tied to the power rails, soif one power rail stabilizes well before another and OE is not held low the device may not be configured correctly.
