SN75LVCP601: Does DEW2 have internal PU/PD resistors?

Part Number: SN75LVCP601

Do the control pins on the SN74LVCP601 have internal pull-up and/or pull-down resistors, specifically DEW1, DEW2, DE1, DE2, EQ1, and EQ2? 

  • Customer was told by their ODM FAE that by not-populating the resistor that the device would use the default setting. We need confirmation if this is true or not.

    internal has both PU and PD. when default it is 1/2 Vcc

    I see on the EVM the DEW1 & DEW2 have jumpers to select between a direct connection to GND and a 4.7K connection to VCC. Therefore, from that and your answer, I assume an external connection is necessary to clearly define whether the pin is a logic 0 or 1. True?

    Hi Ronnie,

    There is an internal pull-up on DEW. The Input leakage Low limit is 10x the input leakage High specification.
    The EQ and DE pins include both internal pullup and pulldown to create a VCC/2 level for NC.

    Also, what is the De-emphasis pulse duration at this ½ Vcc level? The datasheet just shows a long and short setting.

    Hi Ronnie,

    The DEW signal has only two valid states.
    1 - Using either internal or external pullup (default)
    0 - Using external pulldown
