CCS/LMH1983: LMH1983 clk1 output can i generate 14.75 MHz?

Part Number: LMH1983

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi Sir/Madam,

By programming N  register with 0x3B0 can i get a clock as 14.75MHz or not ?

jitendra

  • Hello Jitendra,

If you selected at 14.75 MHz VCXO and set PLL1 output divider = 1, you could program N = 0x3b0 = 944. Provided that your input frequency and R value result in INPUT_FREQ / R = 15.625 kHz and achieve 14.75 MHz on the output. PLL2, 3, and 4 will not work because you're not using a 27 MHz VCXO.

If you selected at 29.5 MHz VCXO and set PLL1 output divider = 2, you could program N = 0x3b0 = 944. Provided that your input frequency and R value result in INPUT_FREQ / R = 31.25 kHz and achieve 14.75 MHz on the output. PLL2, 3, and 4 will not work because you're not using a 27 MHz VCXO.
