Dear experts,
I want to understand the signal conditioner definition. would you explain what is difference between redriver and repeater and retimer ?
Thanks,
JH.
JH
A repeater can be either a re-driver or a re-timer. Please see this e2e post for the difference between the re-driver and the re-timer.

Re-driver can further be divided into linear and limited re-driver. The difference between linear and limited re-driver is that limited re-driver provides its own TX block which may include swing and pre-emphasis control while linear does not provide TX block, the swing and pre-emphasis comes from the source.
Thanks
David
