I have a question about TCAN4550-Q1.

Is it correct that the following description of D / S is compatible with CAN 2.0B?

- Classic CAN Backwards Compatible.

My customer wants to support CAN FD and CAN 2.0B with Register control.
We recognize that CAN FD is compatible with CAN 2.0.

    Kaede,

    That's correct, the TCAN4550 can work with classic CAN data frames transmitting and receiving. You can switch between classic CAN and CAN FD by utilizing bit 8 in register 0x1018. Setting this bit to 0 will put the controller in classic CAN mode, setting this bit to 1 will place the controller in CAN FD mode.
