Hi Sirs,

Sorry to bother you.

I put the TI model and PCB SNP file in .zip for you to download
Currently testing the output of TI's Redriver model... after entering PCB2 (1.2 inch)
Voltage attenuation is very serious... adjusting EQ/DE does not improve output
We use the ADS Tool to do the simulation:
Please help me confirm the adjustability of this model.

    How are the S8p ports connected?

    Here is an example of PCB1.  Port1 does not seem to be connected to any other port.

    Hi,

    The channels you have sent as s8p do not seem to have normal through connections.  In this example port 1 does not have a direct connection to ports 2-8.  This would cause a low VOD in the simulation.

    If still feels the connector is a problem, please ignore and to removed this connector

    Our focus is on the voltage level can not be adjusted? why s8p do not seem to have normal through connections?

    You should be able to adjust the voltage levels in the model.  The AMI model has 8 levels of VOD adjustment. 

    It may be benefical for you to run the model in the example database to check out the model results.  Then insert your own channels (s8p files) into this environment.

    The connector is showing some non linear behavior, however the losses are quite low and would not interfere with increases in VOD.

    How are the s8p channel files made, measured or simulated?  I think there is some setting in this procedure which is not quite correct.

    I know I can adjust... but how to adjust??
    I adjusted it in the ADS tool but it didn't work.
    Use the figure below to illustrate... there are two problems

    First Question 
    Ignore Bits is selected... VOD_Level appears on the right
    Select VOD_Level... but the DE_Level appears
    Which one to choose? Which one to adjust??

    Second Question

    Suppose I chose Ignore Bits... the right side of VOD_Level=7 is compared with the output of 5
    The output level has not changed.

    You should be adjusting the output parameter VOD

    Here are two runs with different VOD levels.
