Hi,
I have a battery in series with a fuse followed by a TVS for reverse polarity protection.
Let us say, my fuse takes 10ms to blow at 40A when I reverse connect the battery.
How do I coordinate the TVS and fuse, such that the my fuse blows even before my TVS damages at 40A in case of battery reversal?
Nowhere in the datasheet, the power dissipation of the TVS in forward bias is specified.
How much power does TVS handle in forward direction of conduction? How do I calculate the time required for the TVS to thermally damage given the time taken by fuse for 40A is 10ms?
Thanks,
Subbu
