TUSB320: Do we have parts similar to TUSB320 but UFP only?

Hi USB team,

I'm looking for a USB-C controller that can handle CC logic and is UFP only, and non-PD charging. Would be great if it also had BC1.2 detection on D+/D- as well, but not requirement.

I found TUSB320 but it is DRP. Just wanted to cover all my bases and make sure I wasn't missing any parts.

Besides DRP, TUSB320 can be configured as

Host Only – DFP (Source)
Device Only – UFP (Sink)

They may also consider HD3SS3220, which combines the CC controller function with Type C MUX function that also supports UFP, DFP, and DRP.

Please note that the customer does not want PD charging, so the HD3SS3220 will not work.

To confirm, we have no parts that are UFP *only*?

HD3SS3220 is the same function as TUSB320, only adds the USB SS MUX function.

But we do not have a part that is UFP only.

Hi, David：

TUSB320 can be configured as DRP， It can be operated only by I2C mode and the PORT pin is NC ?

If I use GPIO mode , Can I apply its DRP function ?

TUSB320 DRP can be configured in both I2C and GPIO mode.

In GPIO mode, you will only have the ID pin to provide status after the CC1/2 connection. But in I2C mode, you will have more detailed status info after the CC1/2 connection.
