DS90UH947-Q1: How to Test if the Serializer is working without connecting to a display or o-scope

Hi Team, If the DS90UH947-Q1 is used on a module and the SER needs to be tested to make sure that it is outputting properly without hooking up to a DES/display or oscilloscope, is that possible? I think there is a BIST, but does that only apply with a DES connected? If there is any way to test the device via SW or something of the like, that would be ideal. Thank you, Jared

The goal of the test is to make sure the input data is successfully transformed to the FPD-Link data steam at DOUT+/-

Hello Jared,

Without a scope or DES you will be rather limited in debug capability. You can check the detected PCLK rate at the 947 via registers but beyond that there is no way to check the data coming out of 947.
