LMH0397: How to monitor the output signals

Part Number: LMH0397
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SIGCONARCHITECT

Hi,

The output signals will be distorted if the output signals are monitored with an oscilloscope.
So could you please tell me how to monitor the output signals which you would recommend?

Best regards,
Kato

  • Hi Kato-San,

I am not sure at what point you are monitoring the output signal. I am assuming device is operating in EQ mode and you are trying to monitor 100-ohm differential output signal. Also, you have scope probe with high bandwidth. In this case, is it possible that you might be double terminating the output signal with scope? If you don't monitor the signal i am assuming the video is going through?

Secondly, please use SigconArchitect GUI to monitor eye diagram and eye openings(HEO and VEO). Also, this GUI sets up the device correctly and overrides pin settings that may be causing you this issue.

    Regards,, Nasser

  • Hi Nasser-san,

    Thank you for your response.

OUT0± which is used as host-side loopback output is monitored. So, video signals are output normally with carrier driver mode if OUT0± isn't monitored.
Could you please tell me the version of "SigCon Architect" which should download and how to use?

    Best regards,
    Kato

  • Hi Kato,

    You can use version 2.0.0.8.
