PCA9306: I2C Level Shifter

Part Number: PCA9306

Hi Team,

I using I2C Level shifters from TI PCA9306DQER .

The Topology that I using is attached.

Is it ok to connect PCA9306 in parallel as attached topology?

    Hi Shlomi,

    Yes, it is alright to use PCA9306 in parallel connections as depicted in your attachment. Please note that PCA9306 does not buffer the I2C bus so the effective capacitance for the bus is the summation of all buses (1.2V, 1.8V, and 3.3V buses). Pull-up resistors will have to be sized appropriately.
