when configuring Type-C connector schematic, we have a OVP - TPD6S300 to protect CCn, SBUs which are adjacent to VBUS. however, can't find a OVP for SS. those are also adjacent to VBUS. I think ESD is just for very short duration surge( xx ns). what is our recommendation from the concern of short-to-VBUS of SS data?
The TPD6S300 has OVP for the SBU lines.
The TPD1E01B04 could not be used as an OVP solution as it on does ESD

Thanks for feedback. you're right. TPD1E01B04 can work for ESD functioning.
my questions is : SS Tx/Rx also are right adjacent pins to VBUS. but, why those SS data don't require OVP as CCn, SBUs are protected from short-to-VBUS event?
from one article, I saw discrete TVS is required in parallel with ESD protection.

Those super speed lines switch too fast to have a FET in between for OVP..
