Hi Team,

My customer is surveying for I2C switch solution , 

they are asking do we have the device like PCA9548A , but it needed to be 8 Master to 1 Slave ,

do we have the solution which and fit this reuqirement?

    Hi Andy,

    This is not a typical use for one of our I2C switches. As most (if not all) of our I2C switches are controlled via commands on the Master SDA and SCL lines, I don't believe this type of device would support a layout like the one pictured above. 

    Could you share more about the system design criteria so we could possibly propose another solution? What is the purpose of the switch in this system? Is there ever more than one Master active on the bus at a time? Which Master device should have control over the switch? Is it possible to use GPIO to control switch (multiplexer) instead of I2C commands?
