Hi Experts,I have a question. HD3SS213 can work well with a redriver, such as TUSB212 or SN75DP130? I don't believe it has any concern, but I want to get your opinion.Best Regards,Fujiwara
You have to take a look to see if the application is DC-coupled or AC-coupled application. For DC-coupled application, what is the common mode voltage and does this particular common mode voltage meet the HD3SS213 common mode voltage requirement?

I don't see how they can use HD3SS213 to support Type C rotation, would you please provide a detailed connection?
For the source side, why not use TUSB546/TUSB1046 and for the sink side, why not use TUSB564/TUSB1064? This combines both the linear redriver and Type-C mux into one single chip, reduce their board space.
Please note the sink has to have the ability to support Assignment E Alt mode to be spec compliant.
David-san,If customer choice TUSB564, customer is able to remove DP redriver(SN75DP130)? I think customer may use a case of Figure 36 in datasheet. In that case, PD controller will be needed, correct? If so, would you please suggest recommended device?Best Regards,Fujiwara
Yes, if TUSB564 is used, then they can remove both the DP130 and HD3SS213. The case will be the same for TUSB546 on the source side that they can remove the DP130 and the HD3SS213.
For the PD controller, they can use the TPS6598x family.
