DP83867IR: Active Link Cable Diagnostic (ALCD) support

When the DP83867 data sheet was changed from Revision E to Revision F, the contents related to the ALCD function was deleted.

Does the revision change mean that DP83867 does not support the ALCD function?

Why doesn't DP83867 support the ALCD function?

Hi Daisuke,

The ALCD feature first appeared in the datasheet when the DP83867 was being defined but was not intended to stay at the time the part was released. The references were removed after release because of this. The revision change refers to the documentation and not a silicon change.
