Hi all,

Can you tell me if the LINK DETECT functionality in DS90UB933-Q1 is same as DS90UB927Q-Q1 as below?

In the link above, the device uses the back channel connection to detect the communication availability between serializer and deserializer. Is it same in DS90UB933-Q1?

Hi Ryo,

Yes, link detect means that the 933 is able to receive the back channel data from the deserializer, and the deserializer is able to receive forward channel from the 933.

Thank you for your reply.

Can you tell me the difference between RX Lock Detect and LINK Detect? Both seem to check deserializer settings.

Also, can you tell me any ideas what may be happening when 933-934 can pass BIST and 933-914 can't? 933-914 doesn't even lock to each other.

Let me clarify,

RX lock detect is deserializer system lock

Link Detect is the back channel link detection.
