TUSB1002A: the differential signals between USB3_TYPEA_CONNECTER with TUSB1002A may be mixed.

Part Number: TUSB1002A

Please review the Figure 18 in tusb1002a datasheet, the differential signals between USB3_TYPEA_CONNECTER with TUSB1002A may be mixed.

The picture shows that SSRXN is connected to RX2P, SSRXP is connected to RX2N, and so is the TX. Or has your driver changed the pplarity of differential pairs in TUSB1002A?

  • Hi,

Polarity swapping is supported by the USB3 spec as a way to ease the board layout. The SSTX and SSRX pairs can be swapped and during SuperSpeed handshake, training sequences TSEQ are sent and the D10.2 symbol is used to detect if lane polarity inversion is done (refer to section 6.4.2 of the USB 3.0 spec).

    Thanks

    David
