There are 3 fault conditions in ONET8501V Datasheet as below, however, if the bias current is very small e.g. less than the minimum bias current, it also can trigger the fault. Can Great TI support provide more detailed ONET8501V fault condition? thanks.

1. Voltage at MONB exceeds the voltage at RZTC (1.15V),
2. Photodiode current exceeds 150% of its set value,
3. Bias control DAC drops in value by more than 50% in one step.

    Hi William,

    First of all, sorry for the delay. If the bias current current is below of the mínimum (according to the register setting) the device should be work, however, in closed loop operation may trigger a fault.
    Regarding the laser safety features and fault recovery procedure, basically if at least one of the 3 conditions occurs, the device if going to perform the recovery procedure for protection.
