I'm using the and TSC2017EVM and USB-MODEVM Interface (TSC2017EVM-PDK). Normally the USB interface should be connected to a PC via a USB cable.
But, I would like to put my PC far from my USB-MODEVM Interface (20m). And I also need 2 modules be electrical isolated. So I'm thinking to use the optical fibre and two modules to convert USB to Fibre optic and Fiber Optic to USB.
Do you have any advice/command or device to suggest?
Thank you for the interest in TI's products. For the optical interface, I would suggest you to consider VCSEL-based systems since the reach is only 20m. VCSEL-Multimode fiber system would be a good cost-effective solution for this application.
By the way what is the target data rate? TI has a broad portfolio of optical drivers, limiting amplifiers, TIAs and integrated devices for various data rates.
If it is for 5Gbps or 10Gbps, and if you use VCSELs, our 10Gbit/s capable VCSEL drivers ONET8501V (www.ti.com/.../ONET8501V) and ONET1191V (www.ti.com/.../ONET1191V) will be ideal as VCSEL drivers. While for the Limiting amplifiers, ONET8501PB (www.ti.com/.../ONET8501PB) and ONET1191P (www.ti.com/.../ONET1191P) should be best fits.
And for the USB-optical driver and optical driver-USB interface, please check if our USB3.0 redriver/equalizer device TUSB522P (www.ti.com/.../TUSB522P) fits your needs.

All the optical devices we have are intended for high-speed applications with data rates in Gbit/s range. They can go down to low speeds, but I'm afraid they're not optimized for 200 Kbps speeds. Same with the TUSB522P. All these devices are targeted for 5Gbps and 10Gbps applications.
