ONET4211LD: ONET4211LD application questions

Part Number: ONET4211LD

Dears,

According to the datasheet of  ONET4211LD, it is specified for the communication application.  One customer who asked if it could be used for the non-standard communication application, for example, the pulse width of input is （1-1000ns） and the output of  ONET4211LD is also 1-1000ns to drive laser diode?

    Hi Kailyn,

    All our ONET laser drivers have ben designed for high speed communication applications at Gigabit speeds. They can be used for lower speeds as low as 100Mbps or below, with some amount of degradation to the signal quality. However, the performance will be considerably impacted at 1MHz speeds, and the device may barely support it. We do not recommend the part for such low speeds.
