Hi
I am using the TI 65LVPE504 as a PCIe re-driver. My layout would benefit from being able to reverse the polarity of the lanes. My PCIe end point does not support polarity reversal but if I was to reverse the polarity on the input and output of the 65LVPE504 would this solve that problem?
However, I notice that the 65LVPE504 can perform receiver detection and this involves driving a common mode voltage on the outputs. I am concerned that this would stop me from reversing the polarity of the lanes.
Thank you
Regards
John
Hello John,
We are reviewing this question and we'll reply soon.

We have reviewed your question and unfortunately the LVPE504 is not bi-directional, so you can not do lane inversion, it only supports line polarity inversion.
