    Sergey,

The maximum cable length that can be driven by the TLK2711A depends on multiple factors such as the cable loss profile and the system's tolerance to jitter and signal attenuation.   Please see the application note at: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slla091/slla091.pdf  for examples of the cable lengths that can be achieved with this class of device.

    Thanks,

    Atul Patel

    Atul,

I have read the report on tests.
I want to use a long line.
Me interests as to choose a suitable cable on the basis of characteristics.
I want to choose quality of a cable. I am able to do it without natural test?
I plan to transfer the data to distance of 100 metres using a coaxial cable.

    Thank you.

    Sergey

    Sergey,

I believe the most effective way to get to a solution that will work as expected is to actually test your target cable with the serdes solution.  Driving a 2.7Gbps signal over 100m will be difficult and may require you to carefully understand the loss of the cable a compensate for the loss in some way.

    Thanks,

    Atul
