How is TLK3134 configured for 10G Ethernet application?
We want to use TLK3414 to implement 10Ge between FPGA and Computer.
But as its output is XAUI, so if we use fibre method, then one XAUI->SFI, and one SFP+ module is needed, it's very cost. And I have no idea about which device to choose for XAUI->SFI. BCM8727 maybe is one choice, but no datasheet.
If we use 10GBase-T method, then how to transfer XAUI? Any recommendation?
We have the TLK10021 that will perform XAUI to XFI conversion at the 10G speed. Take a look at this product brief and let me know if this is something that you would like more information about.

I am not familiar with the TLK3414, is it the TLK3134 that you are interested in? The TLK3134 supports XGMII/GMII to CML/XAUI/CPRI/OBSAI.
We also have the TLK10034, one of our newest parts, that is XUAI/CML to XFI/CML (10G KR Compliant). If you are interested in this let me know and I can send you additional information as well.
Can you explain a little more about you system architecture: input needs, output needs, and design need? As you know these parts are quite complicated so this information will help me to figure out what parts to recommend to you.

Yes, it's a clerical error. TLK3134 is our choice to generate XAUI 3.125x4 data flow.
Our system is to implement a 10G ethernet, so as to transfer data between FPGA and PC.
As 10G fiber is too expensive, we prefer to choose 10GBase-T Method.
TLK10021 is a chip for XAUI-XFI, and XFI is fiber interface.
So is there a chip for 10GBase-T ? Or if not using 10GBase-T, do you have any recommendation for implementing 10Ge with not much cost?
Unfortunately we do not support the 10GBast-T standard right now.
I understand your concern for not wanting to implement a fiber solution as they can be rather expensive. There is several different options here though, are you familiar with the 10GBase-CX4 standard or SFP+ Direct Attach? 10GBASE-CX4 is going to be a copper connection of four lanes of XAUI (TLK3134) data that can be run over a twinaxial cable (the same cable used for Infiniband) to your PC. Or you could implement a TLK3134 (for the parallel bus feature) and take that XAUI output into a TLK10021 to aggregate up to a 10 Gigabit Ethernet serial link which could then be transmitted over copper twinaxial cable. You would still use an SFP+ connector on both sides of the link but instead of a optical module you would plug in an electrical module. Let me know if this sound interesting to you and we can talk more about implementation.
I am interested in SFP+DAC.
I have some questions:
(1) 'Or you could implement a TLK3134 (for the parallel bus feature) and take that XAUI output into a TLK10021 to aggregate up to a 10 Gigabit Ethernet serial link which could then be transmitted over copper twinaxial cable.' Do you mean that using XFP module to handle the output XFI signals from TLK10021? Is XFP not for fiber application?
(2) If use SFP+DAC, then how to transfer XAUI signals from TLK3134 into SFP+ module? And in this method, what's an electical module? And what adaptor card would be inserted in PCIe gap of PC server, is it the normal SFP+ card(can be used by fiber)?
1. There is a standard know as SFP+ Direct Attach that allows you to use a copper solution instead of a fiber solution. There are limitations to this standard though, a quick Google search on the subject should provide you with more than enough information.
2. The TLK3134 will not give you an SFP+ output, you will need another device to implement this. You can though transmit your XUAI signal downstream using four cables to your receiver. "Electrical module" was a poor way of stating what I was trying to say earlier. The receiver board (and transmit) would have to be outfitted with the correct connectors to implement this technique which is called 10GBASE-CX4. Again a quick Google search will provide you with enough information on these standards.
I did not mean to cause you any confusion I was just try to convey that there are other options out there for 10G besides fiber.
I can not find enough information to implement the SFP+Direct Attach, and for 10GBASE-CX4, there is rarely server adaptor on the market.
So for the fiber method, if using TLK10021, then there is a XFP+ module to interface with fiber, and at the pc server side, there would be a SFP+ or XFP+ adaptor card, is it right?
This is correct. If the TLK10021 was used to implement your XFI signal you would need a XFP+ receiver at the PC side.
Here are some websites that deal with SFP+ Direct Attach and 10GBase-CX4:
