Inquiry regarding absolute maximum ratings on SN65LVDS1DBVR

Hello, all

Now we have one inquiry regarding absolute maximum ratings on SN65LVDS1DBVR from our customer.

Please refer to the item below, and feedback us with your comment.

When referring page 3 of SLLS373K, the absolute maximum ratings on SN65LVDS1DBVR is described.

However, we could not find out regarding the term of operating junction temperature range (Tj) and thermal resistance (θjA).

Please let us clarify whether we could understand Tj= -40 ~ +150C, and θjA=208.3 C/W, or not. (These value are described on other DBV package of TI device.)

If not, please let us know how much should be on this device.

I need to understand your question better. Are you looking for an operating temperature range? Or a Tj number?

Hi Atsushi,

I calculate T_J and O_JA as follows:

O_JA = 1 / 5.8mW/C (from data sheet) = 172C/W;

T_J = T_A + (O_JA x Power);

T_J = 25C + (172C/W x (3.6)(8mW)) = ~29.95C

Take a look at this application report put together by our packaging team http://www.ti.com/lit/an/spra953b/spra953b.pdf. It does a great job in explaining thermal calculations.
