Please let me know about DS90LV011A & DS90LT012A.

------------------------------------------------

・Please see below : about Driver~Receiver connection (2 type), is it no ploblem?

  ・DS90LV011A (Driver) ⇒ SN65LVDS32 (Receiver)

  ・SN65LVDS31 (Driver) ⇒ DS90LT012A (Receiver)

・If use LVDM I/F driver, can DS90LT012A connect Multi-Drop?

  • How is the situation?

  • Hi Satoshi-san,

    DS90LV011A (Tx) => SN65LVDS32 (Rx)

    These two devices are spec'd for different maximum data rates, so I think you can use this pair for operation as long as you do not exceed 100 Mbps. The DS90LV011A is spec'd for optimal operation between 400-500 Mbps, while the SN65LVDS32 is spec'd to operate at no more than 100 Mbps.

    SN65LVDS31 (Tx) => DS90LT012A (Rx)

    This should be fine. Both driver and receiver are spec'd for operation up to ~400 Mbps and conform to the TIA/EIA-644 standard.

    For a multidrop configuration, I would recommend the DS90LV012A, because in multi-drop, you will only require a 100-Ohm termination resistor across the final LVDS receiver input pair. The DS90LT012A comes with the receiver integrated. This is beneficial for saving space in point-to-point applications, but does not provide flexibility of using an external termination resistor for multidrop configurations.

    Thanks,

    Michael
