Hi Team,

Please allow me to ask you question about DS34RT5110. I understand this device is NRND, however, this device is already D-IN, used on customer's board. Please help us on the following question.

[Question]
What is the estimated delay time of SD pin to go high from all TMDS data detection at the D_INx pins ?
Is it nano second(ns), micro second(us) or  mili second(ms) order ?

Kawai

  • Kawai-san,

The Signal Detector is an energy detector that monitor the incoming differential signals and determine if there is a valid signal (above the detection threshold), or absence of a signal (below the detection threshold). you can find some description on signal detector on page 11 of the datasheet.

As regard to the timing, the delay from signal to SD pin depends on the signal strength. A strong signal will take shorter time, while a weak signal may take longer detection time. I expect it will range from a few hundred us to a few ms.

    I understand.
