DS90UB913A-Q1 EMI/EMC testing termination

Dear Experts,

I have a question about EMI/EMC test method of Serializer.

One of customer is going to do EMI test for camera module with DS90UB913A. And, they asked question about termination. How should we take a termination for camera module?? (They are using single-ended connection without POC)

1. Camera module - cable - ac coupling cap (100n) - 50ohm resistor - GND

2. Camera module - cable - ac coupling cap (100n) - Deserializer

Please let me know which termination is correct? Or advise me if above connection is not correct.

Thanks.

  • Hi Patrick,

Both termination options that you listed above will work just fine if you are just testing the serializer for EMI/EMC. However, usually we test both the serializer and deserializer as a system setup when doing emissions testing because typically our customers are using both devices in their design. This means that both the 913A and 914A will be powered ON during testing.
