About IBIS model of DS92LV0421 and DS92LV0422

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS92LV0422, DS92LV0421, DS90UR907Q-Q1, DS90UR908Q-Q1

I've downloaded the IBIS Models of the DS92LV0421 and DS92LV0422.

But main PIN will be NC (Non connect) , and it can't be simulated.

------------------------------------------------------

・Pickup DS92LV0422's NC point

[Pin]   signal_name     model_name

15      TxOUT3+         NC

16      TxOUT3-         NC

17      TxCLKOUT+       NC

18      TxCLKOUT-       NC

19      TxOUT2+         NC

20      TxOUT2-         NC

21      TxOUT1+         NC

22      TxOUT1-         NC

23      TxOUT0+         NC

24      TxOUT0-         NC

40      RIN+            NC

41      RIN-            NC

・Pickup DS92LV0422's NC point

15      DOUT-          NC

16      DOUT+          NC

Can I have latest IBIS model?

I want the data by which information was included in a part in NC.

Best regards,

Satroshi

  • Hi Satoshi-san,

I believe that this is because the IBIS model does not allow for high speed simulation. Please allow me another day to discuss with our modeling team.

    Thanks,

    Michael
  • Hi Satoshi-san,

I just received a response from the Webench team:

    ==============
It appears the original models (that is DS90UR976Q and DS90UR908Q) for DS92LV0421/22 were provided by the product line, possible created by old modeling team in the Santa Clara office. It is likely that the modeling engineer felt that modeling the pins in question was too difficult hence not to model.
    ==============

The model that appears in TI.com is the latest one, so unfortunately we do not have a solution for this issue at the time. I plan to put in a request for an IBIS-AMI model soon, which should fix this issue. Please note that an IBIS-AMI model generation typically takes a few months to go from creation to release. Please check back again in 2-3 months for an update on the model release status.

    Thanks,

    Michael
  • Dear Michael Lu-san

    Thank you for reply.
Customer want to get High Speed simulation model by next week.
Is there a model which can substitute DS92LV0421/22?

    Best regards,
    Satoshi
  • Hi Satoshi-san,

It is possible that the DS90UR907Q-Q1 and DS90UR908Q-Q1 model may work, as this is the FPD-Link equivalent part. I have not tested this myself.

    Thanks,

    Michael
  • Dear Michael Lu-san

DS90UR907Q-Q1 and DS90UR908Q-Q1 model can't be simulated, too.

    ------------------------------------------------------

    ・Pickup DS90UR908Q's NC point

    [Pin]   signal_name     model_name

    15      TxOUT3+         NC

    16      TxOUT3-         NC

    17      TxCLKOUT+       NC

    18      TxCLKOUT-       NC

    19      TxOUT2+         NC

    20      TxOUT2-         NC

    21      TxOUT1+         NC

    22      TxOUT1-         NC

    23      TxOUT0+         NC

    24      TxOUT0-         NC

    40      RIN+            NC

    41      RIN-            NC

    ※Same as DS92LV0422

    ・Pickup DS90UR907's NC point

    15      DOUT-          NC

    16      DOUT+          NC

    ※Same as DS92LV0421

    ------------------------------------------------------

    Are DS90UR907Q-Q1 and DS90UR908Q-Q1 have IBIS-AMI model?

Or, are there other models whith can simulate?

    Best regards,

    Satoshi

  • Hi Satoshi-san,

I think unfortunately we will need to have a new model generated in order to have this capability. We are in the process of making this request, so regretfully cannot provide your customer with a model next week.

    Thanks,

    Michael
