Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90C383, DS90CR287

Hello

Earlier, we used DS90S383MTD no problems.
Subsequently, we replaced it of DS90SR287, circuit and elements unchanged. In most cases, the image on the LCD module is displayed without any problems.
But sometimes, when power is applied, the colors displayed on LSD distorted, for example, black color is painted in blue. Eliminate distortion can turn off the power and then turning on the power.
Frequence CLK 65 MHz frequency.
LVDS cable length of 0.3 meters

Do you think, what could be the problem?
What function 17 pin in DS90SR287? In DS90S383MTD 'it was R_FB. Are there special requirements to it at power?
Thanks

  • Hi Dmitry,

Are you observing the power-sequencing requirement? It is important that the input clock is applied prior to powering up and enabling the serializer. If not, then there may be issues with loss of clock lock.

Pin 17 for the DS90CR287 can still be considered in some ways to be the R_FB pin, since in the DS90C383, R_FB pin = Vcc means that the transmitter strobes on the rising edge. Since the DS90CR287 is designed only to operate correctly when strobing on the rising edge, Pin 17 must be set to Vcc, and you should be able to apply VCC to Pin 17 at the same time as the rest of the power pins without any particular requirements for power sequencing.

    Thanks,

    Michael
