Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY, DS125DF410EVM, DS125DF410, ALP, DPS-DONGLE-EVM

Hello,

Our customer purchased the EVM however we don’t have the DPS dongle.
Could you please send two set of DPS dongle to us?

I send the e-mail to the mailing list which is described on the following URL.
http://www.ti.com/tool/DS125DF410EVM

However, I received return message from the mailing list due to I don't have permission.

Also , could you please let me know the difference between the DPS dongle and USB2ANY?
Is this pin assign of connector only? If yes, can we use the EVM by USB2ANY?

And,the DS125DF410EVM have the micro USB connector.
Could you please let me know the use of this connector?

Best Regards,
Ryuji Asaka

  • Hi Ryuji,

To manage the DS125DF410EVM, there is no need for external dongle board.
The dongle board circuit has been integrated on the EVM.

Please reference the user's guide for this EVM for how to control this board.
    www.ti.com/.../snlu126

Please connect the board with PC using a USB cable by the mico USB connector.

    Regards
    Liang
  • Hi Asaka-san,

As a slight adjustment to Liang's comment, he is referring to a SPA dongle board circuit integrated on the EVM that supported a previous generation of software used by the DS125DF410, called ALP (Analog LaunchPad). We have used this software to control the DS125DF410 until recently.

In the past few months, we have upgraded our interface to "SigCon Architect," and the new software exclusively works with a DPS-DONGLE-EVM (or USB2ANY equivalent). We have also recently updated the DS1250DF410EVM User's Guide documentation to reflect this change as well. To acquire a DPS-DONGLE-EVM, please contact our marketing at dps_marketing@list.ti.com.

    Thanks,

    Michael
