DVI signal: TFP410 OUTPUT, SN65LVCP114 INPUT how to connect them?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVCP114, TFP410, HD3SS215, TMDS442

Hi,

I have designed a PCB, using SN65LVCP114 to mux DVI signal, and it works well  with PC output.

But there is one equipment with chip TFP410 to output DVI signal.

TFP410 OUTPUT, SN65LVCP114 INPUT seems not match.

and I tried to put eight 50 ohm resistor pullup to 3.3v,  using 0.1uf coupling to SN65LVCP114, but it seems not working too.

Is there any solution to connect  the two chip of TFP410 OUTPUT, SN65LVCP114 INPUT?

  • Hi Ming,

To have a good understanding of your problem, I have some questions about it.
When you say it works well with PC output, it means you just connect PC DVI(without 50ohm pullups) to LVCP114 to display?
What do you mean with TFP410 output LVCP114 input don't match?
Why are you using LVCP114 to mux DVI signals? have you reviewed TMDS442 or HD3SS215?
Are you able to capture TMDS signals fro TFP410?

    Regards
  • Hi Moises,

When you say it works well with PC output, it means you just connect PC DVI(without 50ohm pullups) to LVCP114 to display?

Reply:  yes, just ac coupling to LVCP114 , without 50ohm pullups.

What do you mean with TFP410 output LVCP114 input don't match?

Reply:  PC output with LVCP114 input is ok;but  TFP410 output LVCP114LVCP114 input is not ok,  perhaps there should be some match circuit or something should added.

Why are you using LVCP114 to mux DVI signals? have you reviewed TMDS442 or HD3SS215?

Reply:  someone say LVCP114 can mux dvi signals, so just used.

Are you able to capture TMDS signals fro TFP410?

Reply:  when connected with PC, we can capture TMDS signal; when connect with TFP410, NO signal captured.

  • resolved.

pullup 50 ohm can resolved it.

sorry for not connect edid signal.
