Hola,

1. I will use DS125DF1610 with 4 TLK10232 for data re-time、re-gen、re-shape.

2. DS125DF1610 4 block each block will do as below, data will multi-cast to 2 port.

3. TLK10232 will use 1:4 mode and doing 8B/10B monitor only, does it need refclk？

4. Does DS125DF1610 per port can setup different speed？(2.4576G、3.072G、4.9512G、9.8304G)

Hi Jacky,

Regarding the TLK10232: We recommend using a clock synthesizer IC along with a crystal or crystal oscillator to provide a low-jitter differential clock signal to the REFCLK inputs. Examples would include CDCM6208 or one of the LMK series of devices from SVA. Here is an application note that talks about the combined performance of CDCM6208 with TLK10002: www.ti.com/.../scaa122.pdf

Hi Jacky,

Regarding the DS125DF1610, it is possible to set up the device to lock to a different data rate for each receive channel, as you have indicated. Please double-check what the appropriate RATE and SUBRATE register settings are needed. If none of the preconfigured rate options meet your needs, then you set the rate manually.

Thank you all very so much for the reply. I will use this chip for monitor. That mean, it will not transmit out. I will use this chip for 8B/10B decode only.

Does it have internal Crystal to do it？ I need cut the cost. For CDCM6208 is for reduce jitter. Because I do not use it for transmit, does it still need？

Could I just connect to the ground？ Thanks ～

Which chip are you referring to with your internal crystal question? The TLK10232 or DS125DF1610?
