Hi Ian,

For better understanding, can you help answer the following:

1. I see that SMBus ADdress is always 0580h. This is the 7-bit equivalent of 8-bit Slave Address b0h. Why does this value not update when you change the Slave Address to b8h? If you change the Slave Address to b8h, I would have expected the SMBus Address to change to 05C0h.

2. Is there a schematic for these devices? It would be good to verify that the ADDR[3:0] pins are configured correctly for these devices so that they respond to the correct address.

3. Are there any other devices connected to the SMBus line aside from these redrivers? It is possible that if there is another device with the same address as one the redrivers that a read operation will cause line contention and thereby produce invalid readback results.

We found customer doesn't setting others device in register and we suggest change the register AD[3:0] to match the right devices and fine tune each redriver respectively.

Do you pls help modify their register and convert to .h file?

Hi Ian,

Please send the hex file they are currently using to program via EEPROM.  The DS125BR820 at address B8'h has register 0x00 = 24'h so it is correctly sensing the address.  It could be that there is an address conflict or just that the EEPROM hex file is not mapped just right.
