TLK6002EVM: Register 0x00 Clause 22 Reads

Through Clause 45 you should write/read the registers as you mentioned.

I am using the "User's Guide for Sonic MDIO Software" as my programming reference.  Along with the TLK6002 specification.  In the Programmers Reference section of the TLK6002 specification, it states the following:

From this, I assumed I needed to use Clause 22 to access register 0x00.  I will try to use Clause 45.

Is there anything else I could try?  Is there a Sonic programming expert I could speak with?

Clause 45 did work, but now I only read "FFFF" from register 0000.  Even after I write a new value, such as "7E08"  to Register 0.

In the Sonic GUI, I am running this sequence:

START

READ(0000)

WRITE(0000,7E08,7008)                         // I have also tried this without Masking, and without using the Write command.  I always get a return of "FFFF" from Register 0.

READ(0000)

STOP

I am receiving acknowledgement that the sequence has run properly, and the value "FFFF" has been read from Register 0. 

Is there something I have done wrong?
