SN75LVCP422: SN75LVCP422 SATA compliant?

Hello,

I want to know SN75LVCP422 is if it’s fully SATA compliant (verified or certified) --SATA has some strange protocols that makes me nervous. Let me know if we have any test results or SATA compliance documents that I can share with my customer.

Hi Adomino,

SATA specification defines Host and Device, the redrivers just recover and retransmit the electrical signals, they don't deal with protocol layer.
So, redrivers are not certified.
HDMI includes repeaters in its specification, there, redrivers are certified.

Hi Adomino,

While the redrivers may not be certified, we have had UNH do some interoperability testing for us to make sure our components would work properly with a large number of drive and controller combinations.
