Hi,
Customer wants to connect their BMC is to the EEPROM and DS80PCI810 together for the purpose of flashing EEPROM by BMC. Will you suggest how to achive this with our chip?
Thanks!
Antony

Antony,
Many BMC's support the SMBus. I do not have specific information about the connection between BMC - EEPROM - DS80PCI810.
I would look into the requirements from a BMC - EEPROM perspective, since the implementation could be specific to the BMC used.

Hi Lee,
Does it mean the concern would not be at DS80PCI810, and could be between BMC and EEPROM?
Thanks!
Antony
Hi,
COnsidering ENSMB is floating that DS80PCI810 acts as an SMBUS master, both DS80PCI810 and BMC will be master connected to the device (EEPROM) simultaneousl. Is there any concern about this?
In addition, customer plant o implement 4 EEPROM chips (with different address) with 8 DS80PCI810 chips (2 DS80PCI810 chip share 1 EEPROM.) is there any other concern with BMC connected together as previously asked?
Thanks!
Antony
Antony,
I am a bit worried about this implementation. The DS80PCI810 master is expecting the EEPROM to be at address 0xA0. It will not work if the EEPROM is at another address.

Lee
Hi,
The other customer has the same request for DS125BR401, please also double confirm if we can make this or not.
Thanks!
Antony
Hi Antony,
There is no exception for our DS80PCI810 or DS125BR401. The EEPROM address must be at 0xA0 for the device to find the EEPROM data.

Lee
