May I know how DS80PCI402 can know the data rate condition is in Gen3 or Gen2

Could you kindly provide more information ??

Hi Kai,

The DS80PCI402 and all of our PCIxxx devices use a rate detect circuit which utilizes transition density. This circuit is triggered and re-triggered by any "idle" (no signal) bus periods.
