DS15BR400: DS15BR400 On-Chip Termination Resistance Tolerance

Part Number: DS15BR400

I have a customer who has asked about the DS15BR400TSQ on-chip termination resistors, particularly the 100 ohm output resistors.  There appears to be no spec in the datasheet regarding the tolerance of these resistors.  The customer typically measures the on chip output resistance to be about 103 ohms, which is fine.  However, they have a part that measures 107 ohms and they are wondering if this is expected.  With no tolerance specified, they wonder how far off this could be, and they also wonder if 107 ohms is an indication of a potential problem.  Can you please comment?

Thanks, David

  • Hi David,

I would expect almost all output resistance measurements of this devicwe will fall between 95 and 110 Ohms. There is nothing at all wrong with a 107 Ohm measurement.

There is no datasheet specification, but devices are 100% tested to ensure the 100 Ohm resistor is present.

    Regards,
