DS90UR910-Q1: can it work without DE input??

hi All,

my board is connected as follow -

Camera input to my board is in CameraLink interface,

CameraLink inputs TI DS90UR907 --> converts CameraLink to FPD link ii,

the FPD link ii inputs TI DS90UR910 --> converts FPD link ii to CSI-2.

my problem is that my camera doesnt output DE (DVAL) signal, the DE is always '1' (according to the Camera's spec).

is there a way to work with the TI910 without DE signal or is it mandatory??

Hello,

The DS90UR910 uses HS, VS and DE to construct the CSI-2 packets, so these are required inputs.

i'l rephrase my question -

is it possible to work with the 910 when DE is always in '1' and VS and HS determines when video is valid\active?

maybe it has something to do with the CONFIG pins?

On the DS90UR910, DE is mandatory.

meaning, converting FPD link ii to CSI-2 without the need of DE signal?

Sorry, the only other part we have is the DS90Ux940 and it too requires the DE.
