Hi,
I would like to confirm that one of I2C slave device (serializer) is busy at broadcasting of UB964.
Can the UB964 confirm which slave device is busy?
Also, the UB964 is busy?
Regards,
Kenshow

Hi Kenshow,
When UB964 is in broadcast mode, it cannot distinguish ACKs from the remote slaves as all slave device have been assigned the same aliases ( a requirement for broadcasting a command). ACK is an OR operator of the responding remote slaves via I2C.
I suggest reviewing the following thread:

Hi Kenshow,
Yes, each FPD-Link III device features an I2C interface that can perform a function of a I2C master capable of arbitration with other masters, allowing multiple masters and slaves to exist on the same I2C bus.

Hi Kenshow,
The '964 does not have a way of knowing if one of the remote slaves is busy in broadcast mode. Once it receives an ACK from one of the slaves, it will be ready to broadcast another command.
