SN651VCP114 hardware design, I want to use GPIO mode simultaneously compatible with I2C mode.

Our signal is 10G-KR.EQX1 and EQX0 how many db we choose? LOOPBACK enabled or disabled? /PWD high? enables the AGC loop？ VOD_A high or low？

If I use I2C mode CS connection cpu GPIO pin?

Hi,

For a 10G-KR signal is would begin tuning the interface with a relatively low total gain setting. Here are two settings to use.

Typically for normal operation, LOOPBACK is not enabled

If you are using I2C mode, the CS pin should be tied to a GPIO pin. The CS pin is used as a Chip Select in I2C mode.

Our backplane 10G-KR line a little long.Is the first setting customers use more, or the second setting customers use more?

Hi,

I would use the LOW gain setting if the LVCP114 is placed close to the 10G-KR Tx. If the LVCP114 is placed in the middle or closer to the 10G-KR Rx I would use the high gain setting.
