SN75LVDS82: Min and Max value of tw(Pulse duration, output clock)

Part Number: SN75LVDS82
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN75LVDS83, DS90CR286, DS90CR285, DS90CR288A, DS90CR287, SN65LVDS93A

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask SN75LVDS82?

How much is Min and Max value of tw(Pulse duration, output clock)?
The datasheet only shows typ value.
Our customer would like to use these data as reference.

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • Hi Matsumoto-san,

Unfortunately, we don't have Min/Max data at this moment. I'd recommend your customer use typical number 0.43 tc to make sure a good margin in the system.

The most important thing is to ensure your setup time and hold time is within the spec (Min 5ns)
The data is being strobed at the falling edge of clock.

The device is aged. Is this a new design in or part replacement on the system?
What is the end application and opportunity size?

    Thanks,
    Dennis

    Thank you for your reply!

The device is aged. Is this a new design in or part replacement on the system?
->It will be new design. And our customer has to use it combination with SN75LVDS83 which is indicated by end user....
Of course they would like to use new one.

What is the end application and opportunity size?
->It contains confidential contents, so is it possible to send it using private message on E2E?

If you have good device instead of SN75LVDS82, could you let us know?

    Kind regards,

  • Hi Matsumoto-san,

What is your pixel clock frequency? Do you have EMI concerns in your system environment? Do you have the TFT LCD datasheet.

For Channel Link I (or LVDS I) protocol, please look into the combination below.
    DS90CR285/DS90CR286 (66MHz)
    DS90CR287/DS90CR288A (85MHz)
    SN65LVDS93A (135MHz)

If you have EMI concerns, please look into Channel Link II (or LVDS II) protocol devices.

We will provide the better support if we can review your block diagram and system needs.
Please send your end application to me at dennis.wu@ti.com
I can also provide you some solution from our roadmap
