DS90UB964-Q1: Reset After Power-On

[ DS90UB964-Q1 ] Reset After Power-On

Hi,

For DS90UB914A-Q1, it's suggested to perform reset, if FPD-Link is not initialized in the correct sequence.
Is this necessary for DS90UB964-Q1?

(Quote from DS90UB914A-Q1 datasheet)

It's supposed to have 4 cameras for DS90UB964-Q1 type of device. If one camera out of 4 fails to initialize correctly or loses LOCK, is is recommended to perform reset with either PDB or register?

Thank you for your support in advance.
Regards,
Ken

  • Hello,

There is no need to hard reset the DS90ux96x devices when a single sensor connected to one of the four Rx inputs does not configure properly. You could perform digital reset without registers, but first try :
Disabling port forwarding for the Rx port X in question
    Reset imager on port X,
configure image sensor on port X.
apply AEQ_RESTART in register 0xD2[3] (After correct input signal frequency to 96x Rx port X )
Enable port forwarding on Rx port X (After lock status verified)
