LMH1208: Can support MADI at 125Mb/s input?

Hello,

Customer wants to know if LMH1208 and LMH0318 can support MADI at 125Mb/s input exactly?

Could you let me know if these 2 parts can support?

Hi Nicky,

Yes, the LMH1208 and LMH0318 can both support MADI inputs. Note that at the MADI rate, the signal will only be equalized by the CTLE of these devices. The LMH0318 CDR does not lock at 125 Mbps (LMH1208 is a Cable Driver only).

Hi Nicky,

If only MADI needs to be supported, I recommend the LMH0303 from both a simplicity and cost standpoint. If you choose to use this device, please set the HD/SD control to SD mode when running MADI to prevent the edge rates from being too fast.

Are any other SDI data rates being used in this system?
