Part Number: DS92LV1021A

Hi, my customer is using DS92LV1021A and DS92LV1212A, but these parts are lifebuy. Do we have direct replacement for these two devices?

    The direct replacements for DS92LV1021A and DS92LV1212A are SN65LV1023A and SN65LV1224B, respectively.

    Hello,

    I see that the SN65LV1023A is not short circuit proof: the abs. max. ratings of datasheet rev E states: "LVDS output short circuit duration: 10ms".

    For an LVDS-driver this seems strange as a cabling error is not very unlikely. The DS92LV1021A was short circuit proof. I see that the SN65LV1021 was also short circuit proof, but also made obsolete.

    Does the SN65LV1023A really get defective at short circuits of longer than 10ms?

    Hello,

    You are right; the devices are not identical, but have the same function and pin out. The SN65LV1023A may or may not get defective if shorted for longer than 10ms. We can't guarantee that it won't.
