SN65LVDS9638: Thermal pad solder question

Part Number: SN65LVDS9638

Hello,

I could not directly find the information which the powerPad needs to be connected to - the GND or power plane for this specific device. Could you please advise?

Hello Ramon,

I haven't been able to find definitive info on this. To be on the safe side, I recommend not connecting the pad to GND nor Vcc, just have it soldered to the board per the suggestions in the app note www.ti.com/.../slma002g.pdf (except for the part regarding connecting it to the appropriate GND or Vcc plane).
