Hi team,

I have a question.

Can I change the MODE or OEN in the register, write the setting bits such as MODE_10-bit mode OEN_select at the same time with the override bit?

For example, if OEN is enabled, if 0x0C is written to register 0x1F, will OEN be valid?

I want to know whether the setting will be reflected even if setting bit and override bit are written at the same time.

Similarly, for BIST of register 0x24, can I write bit3 BIST Pin Configuration and bit0 BIST Enable at the same time?

Yes it should be valid if the override bit is set at the same time as the actual select bit.

I have an additional question.

When 954 is allowed overriding OEN and OSS select coming from Pins by writting 1 to register 0x1f[7] , 954 does not accept change of OEN and OSS_SEL pin.

Is this correct?

Hello,
Is the question for 914A or 954? Register 0x1F refers to 914A but you mentioned 954.
For 954 OEN and OSS_SEL, refer to the 954 datasheet table 12.

Sorry I have made mistakes in writing.
It is about 914 in this thread title, not 954.
I tried to check on the evaluation board, but because there is no input source, ROUT can not be monitored.

Are you testing this on the 914A EVM? Are you seeing any issues with selecting the override through register 0x1F?

How is the MODE_OVERRIDE bit (bit[4]) set?

Yes, I 'm testing this on the 914A EVM.

I have no issue.

In our customer's normal usage, these are controlled by external pins from the microcontroller.

However, it seems that there are cases where you override in registers for testing etc.

At that time, external terminals may be changed after setting in the register, so it is desirable to ignore the setting change of the external terminal after override setting.

I confirmed that setting of external pin is ignored after register override in BIST mode. after previous post.

So, I think that external pins are ignored after register setting.

Is it correct?

Yoshida-san,
It depends on if the override option is set or not.
If I understand correctly you observed that it is not getting externally overwritten if the registers are set appropriately, and that should be the correct behavior.
